Company History

Roger Wiltshire first started developing Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems for the home in 1991, driven by his passion for water purity and his zeal for informing people about the unique health benefits derived from drinking pure water. Roger pioneered the changes in RO design that were adopted globally in later years, changing the typical configuration of RO systems from Cellular Triacetate (CTA) to a Thin Film Composite (TFC) membrane with GAC pre-filter. The market gradually copied this process because it produced 97% purity.

The company’s ongoing development program refines and expands its product range in the belief that access to pure water for all means improved health and greater wellbeing. The range of systems are designed to suit every budget, home and office: from purifiers to simple filters that remove lead from the water supply, from stand-alone water softeners, to whole house water treatment systems.

The team behind PureH2O Ltd have applied themselves to many industrial, commercial and residential applications, adapting the technology to client requirements. It is this ability to deliver bespoke solutions that places the PureH2O Ltd team at the forefront of many pioneering developments in the use and consumption of water including the world’s first All Membrane Ultra Pure Water treatment plant; the Mountbatten Project in Southampton University, which ranks in the top 5 R&D centres for nanotechnology globally.

In 2015, Dr Terry Cummings and Roger Wiltshire developed Solar Catcher, a project conducted in North Africa to address the dire lack of adequate drinking water facilities throughout the 2500 rural communities living in Tunisia. Solar Catcher plotted the course of the sun to ensure optimum solar power could be applied to abstraction of water from deep aquifers with high salinity. The use of Ultra Filtration and Reverse Osmosis powered by solar panels produced a system that was portable, robust and effective providing clean drinking water for communities in water stressed environments.

Today, PureH2O Ltd serves thousands of clients throughout the UK from households to blue chip companies.

PureH2O Ltd manufactures, installs and maintains the world’s most innovative water purification systems and the most technologically advanced boiling, chilled and sparkling water taps.
